SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The scholarship program was initiated in the 2006-2007 school year.  The primary source of funding for the program is our Annual Maintenance Workshop & Vendor Show. 

Currently we are awarding x2 $500 per semester (1 year) scholarships to x2 students of Texas State Technical College (TSTC), and X2 students of South Texas College (STC).  In additon we are awarding 3 students of employees enrolled in any institution of higher learning.

It was in 2008 that we expanded our scholarship eligibility to include immediate family members (son/daughter) of construction/maintenance employees whose districts were members of STASMO.

The members of the scholarship committee include, Rick Hosea of HOSCO, Marcos Hernandez of La Joya ISD and Dan Cantu of IDEA Public Schools.
