I recently received some
information on other scholarship opportunities available that I thought would
probably be important to many of you who like me have family/relatives in
college or getting ready to attend. I suspect they came my way because of
the existing scholarship links on the website already...
The following come from an
organization called,
scholarship@studentscholarships.org. You can click on the link for
more info- They're are a ton of other scholarships listed here by
category, etc. Another link provided by Mike Carranza, Dean of Financial
Services at South Texas College is,
http://fastweb.com (see his comments
below).

Good morning Dan,
I also checked the sites and they do look legit. However, there are
some sites that require credit card information used for donating or to
purchase items so be careful when students are filling out the
applications.
Another good tool is http://fastweb.com
which is a free website but it does have some advertisements. Students
can just indicate they are not interested and continue in creating their
profile. The profile will be used by the website to collect scholarship
information for students which they can review and decide if they are
interested in applying for the scholarship or not. Students don’t have to
navigate through the thousands of scholarships, the database will use the
students profile to match it with the scholarships out there and populate
them on the students account for their review
Thanks
